The story is about a scientist about leading scientist Richard Ebright, who was very a keen observer and to extinguish his curiosity, he with the help of his mother collected his butterflies. When he was in grade 2, he collected at least 25 species of butterflies. He was also engaged in collecting coins, fossils, and rocks.
One fine day his mother gave him a book named’ The Travel Of Monarch X.’ the book turned his life and introduced him to the world of curiosity and science. He experienced the realia of science when he moved to a science fair in the countryside.
Later on, when he was in 8th grade he selected the cause of viral sickness that killed almost all the monarch species of Butterflies. Next year, his project was selected for the science fair and he also bagged the first prize in the Zoology Division and third in the country science fair.
Richard also led his discovery of an unknown insect hormone and this also led to the new theory on the lives of cells. He also tried to quest for the tiny spots found on the back of the monarch pupa. This project won the first position in a county science fair and also got a golden opportunity to work at the Walter Reed Army Institute Of Research.
He remained continued with his advanced experiment and was able to identify hormones’ chemical structure. he also got the idea of his new theory by looking at the X-ray and could tell the blueprint of the DNA. Richard and his room fellow constructed the plastic model of a molecule and illustrate the structure of their DNA. This work got published and got the highest honors from Harvard.

Ebright was an inquisitive boy who was supported by his mother throughout his childhood. His mother brought him a book entitled The Travels of Monarch X which proved to be a turning point in his life.
The book talked about the migration of monarch butterflies to Central America. At the end of the book, its readers were invited for studying the butterfly’s migration. This change exposed the young curious Ebright to the world of science.
